These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LLM Prep website (https://www.llmprep.com) and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by LLM Prep ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service
LLM Prep provides a document conversion and processing service designed to prepare data for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and Large Language Models (LLMs). By purchasing credits and using our service, you agree to these terms.
2. USAGE TERMS
Credits never expire
Once you purchase credits, they remain in your account indefinitely until used.
Each conversion uses one credit
Every document conversion consumes one credit from your account balance.
Free trial allows 3 credits per day
Users on the free trial receive up to 3 credits per day. The quota resets daily at midnight UTC.
File size limits
30MB is the maximum file size for conversion.
Supported formats
PDF, DOC, and DOCX files are supported for conversion.
3. REFUND POLICY
Automatic Refunds
If a conversion fails, credits are automatically refunded to your account.

For refund requests not related to conversion failures, please email us with your order details at contact@llmprep.com.
Refunds processed within 3-5 business days
We aim to resolve all refund requests within 3-5 business days of receiving your request.
4. PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING
Your Document Privacy is Our Priority
Documents processed in memory only
All uploaded documents are processed entirely in RAM and never written to disk.
Files immediately deleted after conversion
Your documents are permanently deleted as soon as the conversion is complete.
We never store, log, or retain your documents
We do not keep copies, backups, or logs of your document contents.

5. PROHIBITED USE
You may not use LLM Prep to process:
- Illegal content - Any documents containing or promoting illegal activities
- Malware or malicious code - Files designed to harm, compromise, or exploit systems
- Content that violates third-party rights - Copyrighted material, trade secrets, or confidential information you don't have permission to process
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. USER RESPONSIBILITIES & COPYRIGHT
Important Notice
By using LLM Prep, you acknowledge and agree to the following responsibilities regarding intellectual property and copyright.
You warrant you have rights to convert uploaded documents
By uploading a document, you represent and warrant that you own the document, have obtained all necessary permissions from the copyright holder, or that the document is in the public domain or otherwise legally available for conversion.
You are solely responsible for copyright compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of LLM Prep complies with all applicable copyright, intellectual property, and other laws. We do not verify ownership or rights to uploaded content.
Conversion does not grant or transfer intellectual property rights
Converting a document through LLM Prep does not grant, transfer, or imply any intellectual property rights. The conversion process is a format transformation only and does not affect the underlying copyright status of the content.
You indemnify LLM Prep against infringement claims
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LLM Prep and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these terms or any third party's intellectual property rights.
7. AI PROCESSING LIMITATIONS
LLM Prep uses artificial intelligence systems to process and convert documents. You acknowledge and accept the following limitations:
AI systems may decline to process certain content
Our AI processing systems include safety filters that may decline to process content that appears to be copyrighted, contains sensitive material, or triggers content moderation policies. This is a technical limitation, not a legal determination about your rights to the content.
Some pages may be partially processed or skipped
Due to AI safety filters or technical limitations, some pages within a document may be partially converted, summarized rather than transcribed, or skipped entirely. We will attempt to notify you when this occurs.
No guarantee of complete content extraction
We do not guarantee that all content from your documents will be successfully extracted. Complex layouts, images, tables, or certain types of content may not convert accurately or completely.
We are not liable for incomplete conversions due to AI limitations
LLM Prep shall not be liable for any incomplete, inaccurate, or failed conversions resulting from AI processing limitations, safety filters, or technical constraints. Credits may be automatically refunded for failed conversions at our discretion.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Service provided "as is" without warranties
LLM Prep is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We are not liable for data loss or conversion accuracy issues
While we strive for accurate conversions, we cannot guarantee perfect results for all documents. We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or inaccuracies in converted files.
We are not responsible for how you use converted content
LLM Prep is a format conversion tool only. We are not responsible for how you utilize, distribute, publish, or otherwise use the converted output. You assume all liability for downstream use of converted documents.
We make no representations about the legality of converting specific content
We do not provide legal advice and make no representations about whether converting any specific document is legally permissible. You are responsible for determining whether you have the legal right to convert and use any content.
You assume all liability for downstream use
You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any consequences arising from your use of converted documents, including but not limited to use in AI training, publication, distribution, or commercial applications.
Important:
Always review converted documents before use in production environments. We recommend maintaining backups of original files. In no event shall LLM Prep be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including damages related to copyright infringement, intellectual property disputes, or third-party claims.
9. PAYMENT TERMS
Payments processed via Stripe
All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card information.
Credits are non-transferable
Credits purchased are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to other users or accounts.
Prices subject to change with notice
We reserve the right to modify our pricing. Changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect credits already purchased.
10. CHANGES TO TERMS
LLM Prep may revise these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
